Mondays are a full day for me.. I was hoping to wake up in that "happy" mood or at least "happier", but it felt like I woke up at the crack of dark. Being the first day back to school for my 14yr old girl, we had to get our butts out of bed earlier than the last two weeks (glorious Christmas vacation) and I felt like a zombie this morning, worse than ever.
But there's always tomorrow!
I did actually "mess" with my daughter this morning- she tapped on the door to advise me she was ready, and I didn't answer her- hoping she'd think I slept in. (hee hee!) so I went to the door and cracked it open a *teensy* bit and responded in a sleepy voice... she didn't buy it.
Breakfast: Homemade almond milk with raw-looking "ish" cereal from the grocery store; OK it's prolly not TOTALLY raw but I think mostly. Tossed in some fresh banana and mango and finished it up with a cuppa joe from Joebellas. Not raw again but gimme a break. I need my routine... I should start bringing my Nutmilk in there like I've done a few times before. I love the fact that I can do that at Joebellas; I asked previously at a Starbucks and was promptly turned away. Ah well.
Lunch; Seared King salmon drizzled with rosemary and garlic infused olive oil. (toss chopped garlic and rosemary in your jar of olive oil. DONE.) On a bed of greens with our 98.9999 % raw Pear Dressing and a handful of random veggies and I was good to go til I got home at 9pm!
Dinner: Made a new recipe I found online; I posted it on the side of my blog wall. It's kind of a Mexican soup which has a spicy tomato base (think tomato soup on steroids) and you top it with toppings like chopped avocado, tomato, peppers, cilantro, etc. This is VERY much like "Taco Soup" which my mother makes.. a family favorite! I'll post the recipe. It's very good, tastes mexican and has a slight kick to it- I like it a lot! Now I need crackers or tortillas that I can make. I need a few more items to be able to dehydrate properly. I'm too cheap to buy them retail so I'm hangin for now...
One thing I noted tonight: my disposition seems to be turning upward (not that it is bad- I just deal with a lot of stress) however it could be hormonal possibly. I don't know and I don't care, but I will be taking note of whether it seems to be temporary or permanent as I continue trying to stay raw.
About Me
- Jo
- Wine Country, Ca, United States
- By day I am a Business owner, Mother and wife, house cleaner, taxi driver and laundress, obtaining physical health through raw food nutrition; this being my personal challenge. Actually I love cooking and learning new things, I am an on & off raw Foodist to help me with my Systemic Lupus; however I do eat raw fish and sometimes raw dairy. I guess I would consider myself a "raw pescatarian" aside from the occasional raw goats milk / cheese once in a blue moon.
