About Me

By day I am a Business owner, Mother and wife, house cleaner, taxi driver and laundress, obtaining physical health through raw food nutrition; this being my personal challenge. Actually I love cooking and learning new things, I am an on & off raw Foodist to help me with my Systemic Lupus; however I do eat raw fish and sometimes raw dairy. I guess I would consider myself a "raw pescatarian" aside from the occasional raw goats milk / cheese once in a blue moon.

Three days

I've been raw three days now.  I don't know why it's seemed so simple actually.  Usually it's stressful.  I'm sure something will come up.  Ha.

Today I truly felt like my brain was / is clear-  It's funny, I've felt this exact same thing every time I've been raw, not sure when it hits me that I'm not in a fog (which of course you never realize til it's cleared) but it's typically for me early on.  Other people who go raw for a first time usually get headaches and stuff,  but hey, if you go raw a hundred percent right off the bat, you're probably gonna throw your body for a loop!  Yikes.  Even going off drugs throws the body off, so it's not so much like something BAD is happening-  It's just a process.

Anyway,  I ate overnight-soaked oats (thanks, Nature's First Touch in Templeton! http://www.ntnah.com/
Drained, added blueberries & raspberries, and some almond milk. It was simply very good!
Lunch was a package of raw crackers I bought at the health food store,  I was picking at them while going through everything else I got at the store, and dang they're addictive.  One odd thing I got there, is raw cow's milk.  Hmm I'm not totally sure if that will work for me, but what the hay, it's just a quart.  Typically I'm finding issues with allergies of dairy, but just SOME dairy; not all.  I'm curious if raw makes any difference at all.  They say the homoginization and pasturization process wreaks havoc on the human body.  Most will poo-poo the idea but others, which I've read, give a scientific breakdown which really is an eye opener.  I won't bother to share here; that's not my purpose. So later, I ate the NRG soup that I've made several times in the past, had that for lunch yesterday and then had the rest tonite with a dinner of greens and my yummy poppyseed dressing.  I'm full, I'm happy, I feel great!  Last time I went raw I was like STARVING for meat or bread or something.  I'm not this time, not so far anyway.  I did have some raw fish yesterday and today, maybe that's why.
I got online and purchased from www.rawfood.com some raw organic chocolate,  dried greens for smoothies (hope it's good!) and quite a few other food items.  I'll share those later when they arrive.
Time for bed!
